Purging Compounds

Prior to selecting a purging compound, review the design and flow patterns of the entire die. A soft melt purge will center flow where a hard melt purge will push to the extremities during the purging process. Doing this can reduce your total purge time and increase the effectiveness of the cleaning process. Remember to always watch your back pressure and motor current during the purging process.
