Checking extrusion output rates without the use of a calculator
Vol. 27 #1, March 2000

Take an output rate for a 36 second interval. Weigh it on a scale in lbs or kg. Multiply this figure by 100. This will be the output rate of the extruder in lbs/hr or kg/hr. Report two or three times, to check output consistency. Average these output checks to calculate the average output rate.
