Hopper Magnets

It is common practice to install magnets above the extruder feed throat to remove tramp metal from the pellet feed stream, but reground film scrap will not flow through conventional magnets.
There are special magnets available that can be installed in the fluff supply pipe if it is desirable to pro tect the extruder from tramp metal in the fluff.
