PLC circuits
Vol.20 #1, Mar., 1993

Know your PLC circuits. Many extrusion lines, today, have different types of operators sharing the same I/O PLC boards.

Recently, we found a shorted solenoid valve that was sharing a fuse on an I/O board that was preventing a feeder permissive interlock from engaging. A delightful mystery, but not appreciated when production time is important.
