Material characteristics can significantly affect the operation of your material handling system.
- Free-flowing materials cause few problems
- Regrind material is easier to handle if:
- Grinder blades are kept sharp
- Product is cooled down before it is ground – this reduces dust
- Proper screen size is used, and maintained, to eliminate longs in the regrind
- Additives must flow consistently for accurate feeding and blending – if not, special feeders will be required
