Material Properties and Your Material Handling System

• Free-flowing materials cause few problems
• Regrind material is easier to handle if:
  • Grinder blades are kept sharp
  • Product is cooled down before it is ground – this reduces dust
  • Proper screen size is used, and maintained, to eliminate longs in the regrind
• Additives must flow consistently for accurate feeding and blending – if not, special feeders will be required
