Pressure transducers are useful for protecting extruders from over pressure when properly selected for pressure range. Regular inspection and maintenance combined with correct alarm point settings for safe pressure limit will protect operators and prevent equipment damage. In process monitoring of these instruments will likely help troubleshoot processing problems.
