Drive motor start up
Vol.20 #2, July 1993
As a matter of policy, we strongly recommend a local electrician for large motor drive startup. His inspection and repair of any motor or control parts puts the responsibility at a local level where the operator has instant recourse.
It has been our experience that a large number of customers complain, for one reason or another, when we have our electrician make the repairs before shipment. We have never had a complaint when the customer had repairs and start up done locally, even though his electrician may not have the expertise that ours has.
