The drive power and speed (gear ratio) should be selected to operate at about 80% of maximum for the desired production rate. Operation at more than 80% of power results in danger of over amping.
Conversely, operation at over 80% of speed can result in not having enough speed for control. On the other hand, if the drive is greatly over specified in speed or power, then it will not have optimum drive stability.
