Vacuum pump discharge
Vol. 23 #3, Dec. 1996
Vacuum pump discharge piping is part of the installation requirement of installing an extruder or downstream equipment that is often done improperly.
Usually, the discharge consists of gas (or air) and water, so if it cannot be connected to a closed drain system, it must be connected to a floor or sump drain with a vent pipe.
