Warning: Casting Rolls
Vol.21 #1, June 1994
If you are planning to experiment running thin sheet using a high melting point polymer (PET, P CARB, etc.) for the first time, be aware that it is possible for the edge bead on the sheet to solidify very quickly and to put a very high local pressure on the rolls.
This pressure can be so high that the roll surface is permanently deformed with a groove on each side of the sheet.
