Reduce Temperature Variation
Vol. 33 #1, Summer 2006

Thermal uniformity of melt entering the die is critical to maintaining uniform die performance and gauge control for a typical single screw extrusion operation there is a 15°F to 40°F difference between product skin and core temperature. A static mixer can reduce that variation to less than 5°F.
