Twin screw help
Vol. 23 #2, Oct. 1996

In running a "standard" screw on a co-rotating twin screw extruder where glass fiber is being added to polypropylene, it was found that:

1) A minimum of 5% weight of PP MAH in all cases produced superior product properties.

2) The product properties were higher with TMES than just kneading blocks.

3) There is a threshold specific throughput below which the product properties in all cases dropped substantially and above which they were essentially constant.
