Gels 2
Vol. 23 #1, May 1996

If you have a problem with unexplained gels in your product, check the resin feed tubes, blenders, hoppers, etc., for fines, streamers, or an accumulation of pellets from a previous resin.

The proper procedure to prevent gel problems when changing polymers is to completely blow down and clean all of the polymer handling equipment.
