Screw Removal 3

Screw removal from an extruder must be done hot. Proper safety precautions need to be taken with operators/ mechanics wearing proper personal protection equipment: hot gloves, face shield, long sleeves, and safety shoes.

As screw(s) are removed, or shortly after, when still hot, wire brush remaining extrudate before it has a chance to cool when it would be more difficult to clean.
