The life of many extrusion pumps and polymer pumps can be extended by periodically cleaning the lubrication passages and removing the additive build up. This buildup collects in the V-Groove and the return port. As this material builds, it will reduce the area in which the process material is used for lubrication, which will cause increased wear in the bearings and gear shafts.
