Stainless Steel Components
Vol. 25 #1, May 1998
Many of the newer extrusion components are now being made of stainless steel. The standard pressure transducer used in extrusion is also made of stainless steel. Make sure that a compatible antisize is used when installing/replacing this device. Also, to make removal easier, have the machine at operating temperature, and to help with installation, always clean the threads and seat in the tooling.
