Eye protection
Vol. 23 #2, Oct. 1996
Always wear eye protection when standing near a pressurized die. Don't be fooled into thinking polymers are too viscous to "splash" out of die running at steady state.
Air pockets from a screen change or decomposition gasses from a hot spot can expand rapidly when exiting a die spraying hot polymer several feet through the air.
