PET Dryer
Vol.19 #3, Nov. 1992
Be sure to invest in an on line dew point meter for any extrusion dryer system for use with PET. Although 40 is an adequate dew point, select a meter that reads lower to be able to monitor a change in the desiccant bed before it reaches the problem area of 40.
Pressure gauges across the filters are another good monitor of changes in the system. Differential pressure will increase as the filter clogs.
A log of all of the pressure and temperature readings with clean filters and other essential operating parameters is useful.
